Welcome to the Memory Grid

Welcome to the interactive spatial binary. You are trapped in a shifting labyrinth known as the Memory Grid. Scattered throughout this map are various Merchants and entities, each holding a unique cryptographic challenge—and the flags you seek.

The Mechanics

  • Movement: Navigate the grid using w, a, s, d.
  • Interaction: Use i to interact with the world. Your character (^, v, <, >) will interact with whatever is directly in front of them based on the last direction they moved.

The Merchants

Seek out the entities hidden in the grid. You must navigate the terrain, fulfill their specific requirements, and solve their cryptographic riddles to earn your flags.

Currently Active Merchants:

  • Amnesia (A) - A master of pseudo-random generation and state logic.

Challenges

Amnesia's Oracle

Deep within the desolate expanse of a 50x50 simulated wasteland waits the entity known only as Amnesia (A).

Amnesia guards a secret—a singular, impossibly large number. The entity does not speak to just anyone; to earn an audience, you must pay a tribute of memory. Scour the grid and collect 5 coins ($) scattered across the map to initiate the exchange.

Beware: The environment is deeply unstable. Hidden within the static are 10 lethal anomalies (b). A single misstep onto one of these corrupted sectors will cause a catastrophic system failure and instantly terminate your session.

The Interaction

Once your tribute is gathered, approach Amnesia, stand face-to-face, and initiate contact (i).

  1. The First Trial: Amnesia reaches into the chaotic void of the system and pulls forth a number born of pure, unpredictable entropy. You must guess it. You have 2 attempts

Your mission: Tear apart the source code. Uncover the mathematical illusion holding this simulation together, bend the spatial boundaries of the grid to your will, and perfectly predict Amnesia's final thought before the system collapses around you.
